I enjoyed dining in this restaurant overlooking Manila Bay. It was so filipino. We ordered seafood with huge shrimps, among others. We drank coconut juice directly from a chopped coconut. The food portions were big enough to be shared. Lunchtime was hot, but breeze passed through the hut without walls and we could lie down on the long benches.
Some of us took a leisurely walk on the wooden gangways. The area reminds me of fishermen’s kelongs.
Other customers were fishing and caught tilapia fish which they later on grilled. It felt so provincial, I liked it!
Fishing Village is one of the restaurants of Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park. While the restaurant is nice, I’ve heard that the hotel resort is quite mediocre and needs a lot of improvement.
