Three days in the island Djurönäset and meeting other journalists who are safety representatives/officers in their companies was good for me. I’ve found new friends, bonded with old friends, and formed allies. Allies that I can contact when necessity arises.
I have learned about employees’ rights to a good working environment and what to check to see that it works.
Hearing about the work environment of others, I have learned to appreciate our local newspaper, Sigtunabygden, even more. How my colleagues have supported and embraced me – despite the fact that Swedish is my third language. I am a lucky one.
