From the start, Fjärilshuset in Solna was a butterfly house. It also housed fishes and birds that like warmer climate. In 2013, sharks were added, and the aquarium has become Scandinavia’s biggest shark aquarium. Although having seen bigger aquariums with sharks in Monterey and Lisbon, I am not so impressed with the Nordic aquarium. However, I am impressed with the interest and eagerness to show the sharks to the public.

I love going to Fjärilshuset in the winter. It reminds of the warmth and the plants in my homeland. But this time in May 2015, it was extremely warm. Too warm for my own good.
