Every day there was a long line to get in Anne Frank’s house at Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Marcus’ family refused to queue. I could’ve queued, and seen the house for the second time, but I tried to be solidaric. After all, I saw it five years ago.
There was a tip from Lonely Planet about coming after 6pm to avoid the biggest crowds. Truth is, there is a long queue no matter what time. We should know, we lived a few meters away, we were neighbors to the museum. Every day we checked if was the “perfect time”.
You want to see it and get a feel of how it looks? Watch the film The “Fault with our Stars”, or better yet, films about Anne Frank.
