Royal Palace in Amsterdam

Royal Palace in Amsterdam

The Royal Palace in Amsterdam is used by the Dutch royalty. It’s officially the residence of Queen Beatrix, but she doesn’t really stay there.

One interesting royalty who lived there was King Louis, the brother of Napoleon Bonaparte, in 1808.

The palace is open to public most of the time, except when it’s used for royal events.

It used to be a town hall, built in the 1600s.
