Once when we were in Vietnam, we met a Dutch who decided to live in Hanoi just after a short tourist visit.

“Doesn’t Hanoi’s motorcyclists bother you?” I asked.

“No, not at all,” he replied.

His answer was mind-boggling. I was deathly scared of the motorcycle traffic in Vietnam.

But now, after visiting Amsterdam, I understand why motorcyclists are nothing bothersome. The bikers in Amsterdam are just as bad! With no helmets on, people ride their (mostly old and rusty) bikes and speed in the streets, almost always colliding with pedestrians and cars. They are crazy!

I mean coming from good old rule-abiding Sweden, I am totally pissed off by Amsterdam’s bicycles and their darn wild riders!
